The Funds Academy

The Academy for Investment Fund Executive Education and Development ("AIFEED", trading as the "Funds Academy") was established with the support of funding from the Human Capital Initiative: Pillar 3 in 2021.

The Funds Academy is a joint initiative between academia (Waterford Institute of Technology and Munster Technological University – Cork) and the regionally-based investment fund administration sector in the South and South-East, with our two enterprise partners State Street International (Kilkenny) and BNY Mellon (Wexford) deeply involved from the inception of the programme.

To date, we have been engaged in the development and delivery of a 90% subsidised Masters in Investment Fund Administration, a programme developed with a view to enhancing the technical and leadership skills of those in junior to mid-level positions in the industry. Our first cohort commenced on the Masters in January 2022 and comprises a broad spectrum of excellent candidates from across the industry, and we are currently enrolling for our September 2022 intake.

The Funds Academy is also in the process of developing additional programmes and runs a series of ancillary events, including a regular seminar series with high profile academic and industry speakers, their podcast series 'It's FUNDamental' and other educational and knowledge initiatives to increase awareness of the sector, particularly in the South and South-East of Ireland.
